Our History

OUR MISSION

In 1993 we organized specifically for the benefit of the residents who utilize and live at the facilities known as Bordeaux Long Term Care and  J B Knowles Home Assisted Living.  Bordeaux Long Term Care is now closed.  The J B Knowles facility remains open, and we enjoy making life happen through events and projects which enhance the lives of the residents who reside at this facility.

OUR PROJECTS

Constructed an outside Pavilion at the Bordeaux Long Term Care facility and surrounding garden which is wheel chair accessible and close to the facility entrances.

Constructed a covered entrance so that residents would be protected from the weather when transported from the facility.

Aviaries were built and installed at both facilities.

Provide monthly activities for the residents, i.e. concerts, car shows, cookouts, art contests.

Updated patio furnishings at the J B Knowles facility.

Grants

The Memorial Foundation grant to build a secure, monitored outdoor area accessible to the Alzheimer’s/dementia unit at the Bordeaux Long Term Care facility to give residents the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a safe environment.

Piedmont Gas Company grant to update the resident computer room with all new computers and accessories.

2023--grant received from the Lillian & Dave Bogatzky Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to provide gardening activities for the residents.
